How are you seen?

By November 3, 2017 Crazy Rants, General

I’ve worked in corporate american the majority of my life.  I never thought I would still be here after 37 years.  In an office, in a cubicle, no privacy, no enjoyment.  Don’t get me wrong!  I’m very good at what I do, but its a job, not a profession.  It has always been a job.

When I’m busy working and someone stops to ask a question, I don’t always look up but I do answer their question.  I’m very short sometimes with my answers.  People get very offended by this and take me as a very rude, crude and abrupt person.

I’m not and it is hard for me to change that!  I wear my heart on the outside of my body!  So its very hard for me to understand how people can look at you and smile and want to be your friend and then turn around and stab you in the back!

How we see ourselves and how others see us is often very different.  For the most part, I try not to let it bother me, but when people intentionally do something to hurt you, it really pisses me off.  If you are mean to me, I cannot turn the cheek and not be mean back.  I wasn’t built that way!

The point to this post is think about how you see yourself and how others see you!  You may find it very interesting how people think about you.  For me, it doesn’t really matter as long as you do your job and it doesn’t hamper my job.

Take care,

Plexus “Get Your Gut Healthy”

By October 15, 2017 Crazy Rants, General, People Treats

So I started drinking Plexus Slim in July of this year.  I started it not to lose weight, but to get my blood sugar under control, my cholesterol and to see how it would help with my autoimmune diseases.   It has done all that and more! I have added a vitamin/probiotic and I also take something for inflammation. I believe in the healing of this drink and I know that it can help a lot of people.

I have introduced this to three of my friends at work.  It seems to be helping them and when they complete their 30 days, my hope is that they will order more and continue to work towards a healthy gut!  I plan to keep going and getting as healthy as possible.  They offer a 7 day trial of just the slim, but that isn’t really enough to tell how it is working.  It will give you more energy and I did feel that in the first 7 days… enough that I ordered a 30 day supply.

If you are curious about the products or how they can help you, please reach out to me.  My email is  My website is  Or you can private message me through facebook messenger.  As with any product, you should always check with your doctor before starting anything new.

And weight loss?  yes once you are healthy the weight will come off slowly.  This curbs your sugar and carb cravings!  I’ve lost 20 pounds since the second week of July.

Love, Alphamom

I’m a little ticked

By August 21, 2017 Crazy Rants, General

The news is full of the Black Lives Matter, LGBT or KKK or the white supremacist movements.  I’m so tired of all these groups and what offends them.  If you are a normal, non-racist white person, you have no rights to demand things, because then you are a racist.  I was born and raised in the state of Texas, and regardless of what some people think, it is part of the south.  Actually you can’t get much further south, unless you are in Mexico.  I’ve had a rebel flag most of my adult life.  I don’t look at it as being a sign of racism.  It is a symbol of the south from the Civil War.

The Civil War was not fought over slavery, it actually came up because of a tariff on goods where the south wound up paying triple the amount the north was paying or something close to that amount.  The southern states succeed from the Union because of this.  It did not start over slavery.  Again, read your history books.

Also, there are no African Americans living or whites living that were slaves or owned slaves.  If you check your history, one of the largest slave owners was an African American, not a white man.

And can someone explain to me how kids or teenagers are involved in these kinds of movements.  They can’t even figure out how to dress themselves most of the time, but they can tell that they are being treated unfairly… please give me a break.

Illegal immigration is another thing I tired of hearing about.  I don’t care what color you are, where you are from or how you got here, but if you want to stay, then do what is necessary to become a national, or come here on a visa.  Don’t come to this country and expect handouts, we have enough people here legally that already think they are entitled to all kinds of freebies and don’t try to abide by the rules of being adults and living in the real world.

I’m sure this will piss off some people, but I don’t really care any more.  I’m a white american, from the south and I don’t believe statues from my history should be torn down or put away so not to offend anyone.  I’ve never own slaves, I’ve always worked my entire life and raised a daughter on my own, without food stamps, wic, or ssi or any of that other stuff that people automatically think they are entitled to from the government.

I’m off the soap box and if you are going to be hateful with comments, don’t bother.

Have a great day!

Hello Josie!

By July 21, 2017 animals, Dogs

We have a new puppy.  We adopted from the Animal Shelter in Terrell and she is a sweetie.  They think she is Australian Cattle dog/Blue Heeler mix.  She is smart!  She plays fetch, sits, crates and is scared of Calli the cat.  It is very sad!  She peeks around to see where the cat is before she will move to far!  We have had to corral the cat in order to get Josie to walk through the house.  They think she will be six months old in September and we have her scheduled to be spayed, part of our adoption fee!

We are taking her in to the vet to have her checked out and her second shot set given.  I love her to death and she is full of energy.  Our other dogs are moving faster these days to keep up!  Georgie girl is still the established Alpha or Beta since I’m the alpha.

I’ve attached a pic or two!

A Broken Heart

By July 21, 2017 animals, Dogs

I know I’ve shared pictures of Sioux, my Anatolian Shepherd in other posts.  She was a magnificent dog.  On Tuesday, July 11, 2017, she passed away in our living room, in the late afternoon.   It is difficult for me even as I sit here and write this.  Sioux was such a part of our lives and even though she shed a lot and was sometimes a roadblock where we were walking, I miss her!

One night this week, after I had fallen asleep, I heard her bark!  I sat upright in the bed.  Norman, asked what was wrong.  I said, “Did you hear the dog bark?”  He touched my arm and said I was dreaming.  I know that was Sioux though.  Sioux was 11 in June.  I know big dogs don’t live as long as smaller dogs, but we had just had her checked out in May, mothers day to be exact and she was fine. Some Arthritis, but nothing that should have killed her.

We got a new puppy and Josie is wonderful.  She will never take Sioux’s place in my heart, but she is making her own place.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Monsters Under My Bed

By June 28, 2017 Crazy Rants, General

Growing up, I was scared of the dark.  I didn’t even like being out side at night, playing in the yard with cousins and friends that stayed over.  I’m not sure why I was like that or if something happened to make me scared of the dark.  There are probably a lot of kids that are that way.  Perhaps it is just something genetic inside certain people.  As an adult, I’m not scared of what is in the dark, but who is in the dark.  I walk through our current home in the dark most of the time.  There are night lights placed strategically in the home, but for the most part it is dark.

I dream every night.  A lot of the dreams are nightmares and I wake up screaming or crying out.  My husband has woken me many times from my nightmares.  Sometimes I can remember them the next day and sometimes, I don’t remember any of it.

Often, I wonder if it is because of the books I listen to or read or it is just my vivid imagination that causes the night mares.  Is it because of something I’ve heard on the television or the radio, a piece of a conversation as I walked by someone?  Is there some thing hidden in my memories somewhere that causes me to have those dreams?  Do other people have nightmares as often as I do?

Most people dream, I think.  Sometimes, I dream in color, most times, it is black and white or non descript.  Sometimes my dreams are just people’s voices from my past and I’m reliving something that happened a long time ago.

Water is the common denominator in my dreams or most of them.  The other common denominator lately has been either pregnancy or a baby.  Not sure about the pregnancy or the baby, but I know that the meaning of water has to do with your emotions in your waking life.

Do you dream every night?  Do you dream in color?  Do your dreams have  a common thread that runs through them?  Tell me about your dreams….

It’s Been A While……

By June 28, 2017 Crazy Rants, General, Uncategorized

My apologies for not posting for such a long time.  Life has been very busy!  I’m still dealing with back pain, but have started physical therapy and have a procedure schedule for July 6th, where they will inject medicine in to my sacroiliac joint.  The doctor is hoping that will take care of the issue along with the physical therapy.  If that doesn’t fix the problem, then the next step is seeing if there is nerve damage.

Slowly but surely we are getting the house back in good shape and I’ve done some redecorating.  Hopefully, after next week, it won’t be such a chore to do things and I can finish the decorating.

I planted cucamelons and tigger melons about a month ago and they are growing very fast.  I have vines about 18 inches long and can’t wait to see the first blooms.

My glasses broke so I’m wearing some old ones and I’ve cut all my hair off again.  I will update my pic soon.  My granddaughter is growing by leaps and bounds and will be a year old on the 19th.

I’m ready to have free time and for school to start.  I’ve signed up for 7 hours and hopefully will be able to finish my degree by the end of next year.

I guess that is it for now!  Just wanted to reach out and say, “Howdy!”  Wishing everyone a great weekend!

Hidden Illnesses

By May 29, 2017 Crazy Rants, General, Uncategorized

Sometimes when a person is sick, there are no outward signs.  So when someone says, “You don’t look sick,” don’t get upset or hurt by what they say.  Simply smile and walk away or just walk away.  I know how hurtful it is and how hard it is to explain.

I have two autoimmune diseases and there is no outward signs.  They have progressively gotten worse in the last year and on top of this, I have something wrong in my lower back that is making it very difficult to walk or stand or sit for very long.

There are no cures for the two diseases I have but there are ways to lessen the symptoms but it takes a long time for you to see any kind of relief.  I have Epstein Barr Syndrome – which is chronic fatigue and  I have fibromyalgia which is where the nerves are overactive and sensitive through out your entire body.

In the last few days I have start a detox to clean my body of toxins and an autoimmune protocol diet to see what I can change to help at least with the fibromyalgia.  There is a link on the right hand side of my blog for Super Green Juice. That is what I am drinking to detox.  I’m still drinking my athletic greens and my zip fizz for the vitamins and vegetables/fruits.  I’m eating at least one meal a day and maybe a snack.

I know there are drugs on the market to help with pain and symptoms, but I no longer want to mask the symptoms, I want to control the disease instead of it controlling me.

Besides the detox and the diet change, which is not really a diet, I’ve started using some homeopathic remedies to help with the pain.  We are switching from processed foods to organic or as close to organic as we can get.  It has taken over a year for me to be convinced that drugs and processed food are not helping but making things worse.  Just in the last week, I’ve discovered that wheat, cheese and pasteurized milk are things I cannot eat with out major pain.  I believe that potatoes are another issue so I’m cutting those out as well as tomatoes and anything else from the nightshade plant area.

I developed allergies to some foods after my gastric bypass but have always just said that depending on how bad I want them, I can deal with the outcome.  Not so any longer.  So no more shellfish, ranch dressing, or chocolate.

My goal is before our cruise next June (2018), I have this all worked out and will not have to worry about pain and fatigue from disease.

Be mindful of people that say they are sick or don’t feel good!  Just because you can’t see the disease or the sickness doesn’t mean that they aren’t really sick.

Have a great day!

Cruising – 2018

By May 11, 2017 Crazy Rants, General, Uncategorized

So in 414 days, Norman and I will be boarding the Freedom of the Seas for another cruise.  Royal Caribbean is an awesome cruise line.  This will be mine fourth cruise with them, and his third.  We are doing a Southern Caribbean cruise this time.  It sails from San Juan, Puerto Rico and goes to 4 different island, none of which I have been too.  I’m beyond excited.  We still have to book airfare, but that is okay.  I plan to do that in a couple of months.

With this being said, this gives me a little over a year to get my back repaired and get my weight down.  I’ve been slowly changing my habits and as I change things it takes a few days for my body to adjust.  My biggest adjustment right now is the raw milk, but my body has finally adapted.  I already buy organic meat from Zaycon Fresh or as close to organic as possible without the expense.  I’m increasing my protein, lowering my carbs, and after the doctor next week, hope I can go back to working out.

Anyway, there is a plan in place and action has started.  Have a great day!  Leave a comment and let me know what your vacation plans are for this year and next!
